Collaborating work with the State and Central Government

It is very essential step to work hand in hand with welfare programs of Government such as increasing  awareness and preventing disability etc. Sunlight Educational Society  is actively participating with Government  programs such as Pulse-Polio immunization, Janmaboomi Programs and multi purpose identification cards for disabled etc.

BMK pays much attention to poor and destitute disabled from rural area of Srikakulam mandal who leading miserable life, BMK guided Govt. Official of Handicapped Dept. to contribute hearing aids to hearing handicapped and tri-cycles to orthopedic handicapped.

Coordinating with District Authorities

As one of the objectives set by Sunlight Educational Society to coordinate with district authorities. Sunlight Educational Society always tries to ordinate with district authorities. Sunlight Educational Society participates in Pulse-polio immunization programs, Janmaboomi programs and Cheyathu programs ie. Multipurpose identification cords for disabled etc.

To create awareness in the general public regarding changing misconceptions and prejudice about mentally challenged and other things. Janmaboomi & Gramasabha is the accepted forum to discuss. Janmaboomi meeting generally utilizes resources of experts in the government as well as in the NGO’s to solve problems and create awareness and sensitize the general public and community for working towards welfare of disabled. Sunlight Educational Society team many  times proves with its hard work to create awareness in the general public along with district team.

Pulse-polio immunization

It is preventive step to eradicate polio from our Earth, the Pulse polio immunization program is rigorously implementing for years together. Sunlight Educational Society offers its part to participate in the public welfare program with Municipal Commissioner of Srikakulam with its team to create awareness and to sensitize mother for a polio free India tomorrow.

Winning the National youth Awards   Pune – 2006

Sri. Paila Syamala Kumari has rendered commendable service for the welfare of mentally retarded persons. Being at the helm of the “Sunlight Educational Society” she has extended a helping hand to the mentally handicapped persons through a residential day care center established in 1996 in Srikakulam District. The center has provided special education occupational therapy speech therapy to them. Besides she has organized a host of other community programmes such as vocational training programmes, awareness camps, medical camps etc. she also made sincere efforts for socioeconomic upliftment of women. Sri.. P Syamala Kumari is awarded the National Youth Award for the year 2005 -06 in recognition of her services to the community.
